Last Friday I flew from Timmins to Toronto and then Toronto to Indianapolis and Mariah came to pick me up at the airport. We spent the night in a motel in Bloomington, Indiana and the next day headed to the Bluesprings Caverns in Indiana. On the way there we got incredibly lost and when we finally figured out where we were, we weren't all that far from where we started, even though we drove for over an hour- I say we went through a wormhole.
The cavern was really neat- it was a cave system with a river in it. The tour was actually a boat ride on this underground river and it was amazing! The cave wasn't lit at all (just the boat was) and so when the tour guide turned off the lights, it was unbelievably dark. She told us to be as quiet as possible and that was bizarre- I've never experienced such nothingness in my life. No light whatsoever and no sound.
We saw a blind crayfish but weren't able to spot any blind cave fish. I once came up with an idea for a comic book about a guy who has albino powers and can do amazing things when the sun is behind a cloud. He gets his powers when he's bitten by a radioactive blind cave fish. So naturally I was a little disappointed that I didn't have a change to get my 'albi' powers.
Must run now, Mariah and I are headed to a Dave Matthews Band concert tonight in Cincinnati. Tomorrow we're going to Kentucky for a bourbon tour- should be lots of fun!!
